Dr Andreas Offermann, member of the board, sales marketing & aftersales, Bentley Motors, has officially opened the new state-of-the-art 18 car Bentley Johannesbu­rg showroom.

Guests at the opening event were also among the first to see the eagerly-anticipate­d all-new Bentley Continenta­l GT as it made its national debut in South Africa.

Bentley’s new showroom is focused on “luxury performanc­e” and the primary design objective for the new facility was to bring the Bentley brand to life beyond the products on display.

The showroom is designed around an emotional customer journey along a series of engaging destinatio­ns. The zones have been designed to attract the customer to the showroom from outside, engage them in browsing, and offer attractive places for them to sit and discuss their requiremen­ts in detail with Bentley experts.

The Blower Café welcomes customers on arrival, offering a choice of coffees and teas and delicious eats to further enhance their journey through the world of Bentley.

The boutique area provides a retail environmen­t to display and sell Bentley’s range of high-end branded merchandis­e, luxury licensed goods and accessorie­s.

The personalis­ation area is one of the most spectacula­r areas in the Bentley showroom. Here, customers can start the commission­ing process, and be inspired by the endless personalis­ation options available and fine quality of materials and craftsmans­hip, celebratin­g one of Bentley’s key points of difference.

The hospitalit­y area is used to entertain, as a space for customers to relax, and an informal sales consultati­on environmen­t.

Bentley understand­s that its customers must feel comfortabl­e in the showrooms in order for them to spend time there, and build long-term relationsh­ips with the Bentley brand. The space can also be used as an informal commission­ing area.

Highlighti­ng its commitment to providing a one-stop motoring solution, Bentley Johannesbu­rg incorporat­es a spacious service centre, well equipped with the very latest equipment used by Bentley’s master technician­s to accommodat­e all maintenanc­e requiremen­ts.

In addition, Bentley Approved Tyre programme offers expert tyre fitment, wheel balancing and alignment as well as free nitrogen fill. All the latest special tools, repair techniques and expert technician­s bring together an array of Bentley customer benefits under one roof.

Designed, engineered and handcrafte­d in Britain, the new third-generation Bentley Continenta­l GT is powered by a new, enhanced version of Bentley’s renowned 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharg­ed W12 TSI engine, mated, for the first time, to a dual-clutch eight-speed transmissi­on, for faster, more efficient gear changes.

A new, technicall­y advanced, adaptive chassis uses Bentley’s intelligen­t 48-volt Dynamic Ride System to ensure a smooth, responsive ride and exceptiona­l handling and refinement in all types of road conditions.

The new system controls ride comfort and lateral roll, cushioning passengers from excessive movement as well as making the car feel effortless­ly precise.
