We need quality leaders to take SA forward

-

SA doesn’t need those who are there to enrich themselves, writes Godfrey Malibe from Acornhoek.

Myles Munroe was quoted as saying: “True leaders don’t invest in buildings. Jesus never built a building. They invest in people. “Why? Because success without a successor is failure.

“So your legacy should not be in buildings, programmes, wealth, materials or projects – your legacy must be in people.”

Leadership comes naturally to some, but it can be enhanced by education or training.

If you are a leader, you must know the needs of the people who are your followers.

You must be able to guide your followers. Quality leadership is when your followers follow you wholeheartedly because they trust and believe in you. Your leadership must be transparent, where there are no unanswered questions.

We’re living in difficult and challenging times where leadership is defined otherwise.

People believe being a good leader means you need to instil fear rather than being respected for your quality.

We need quality, visionary leadership with the intelligence and willingness to lead to prosperity.

We don’t need leaders who are there to enrich themselves and those close to them. This applies to all the spheres of life, be it in our communities, at work, in church, in government and politics, in our households and everywhere else.

SA needs cut-above-the-rest quality leaders that will move us forward.
