Don’t miss three superb tests on the card at Kranji today

Singapore – An eight-race Friday meeting may be one out of the box for racing purists with two excellent Class 3 races bookending a cracking Class 2 turf sprint, with all three races on the turf.

While the $100,000 (R911,900) Class 2 race might trump the other races in terms of prize money, Race 5 – the Class 3 1200m sprint – is a must-see with no fewer than three Group winners in the quality nine-horse field.

BE BEE, LIM’S RACER and MR HANKS all have two-year-old Group wins on their resumes and can certainly carry that form on to bigger and better races than this.

LIM’S RACER’s Group win was in 2016 and while she has had her issues since, she has plenty of ability and her gutsy first up run this campaign suggests she will win again soon.

BE BEE gets blinkers added to his gear after only managing a place with heavy support in his last start but he can obviously win this, while MR HANKS could be better than them all and has trialled well enough to suggest he is ready to win in his first outing following his Juvenile Championship victory.

Elsewhere on the card, DRACO Kranji (Sing) Friday Race 1: 12:50 in Race 6, trained by Clifford Brown, won well enough in his last start to think he is hard to beat stepping up to Class 2 Company while GLAMOROUS can break his maiden status in Race 2.
