Valentine’s Day music bonanza will celebrate love

- Virginia Keppler

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so why don’t you show that special someone how much you care by taking her or him to the romantic Evening of Love show at Time Square and watch top South African artists perform the best love songs.

Vusi Nova, Kelly Khumalo and Samthing Soweto, as well as several guest performers, will make sure you do not have one boring moment while keeping the flame of love burning all night on Wednesday.

With his romantic Xhosa ballads, Nova has been stealing hearts all over the country for over a decade. The afro-pop singing sensation has a deep love for soul music and has won a South African Music Award (Sama) in 2009 for the best Afro Pop Album for his album Vusi Nova.

Khumalo, superstar singer, actress and dancer, is also set to give of her beautiful self. Khumalo was named the Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Afro Pop music circuit and in May 2013, at the 19th Samas, she was awarded the award for Best Female Artist.

Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, also known as Samthing Soweto, promises to have fans uncontrollably dancing as he brings his music, dubbed “Pantsula culture meets New Wave World” to the crowd.

It simply doesn’t get better than this, but it does.

More top artists of the likes of Somizi, Ntando, Thami, Bekezela, 047, Bongani Radebe, La Sauce and others will put together a spectacular music production to celebrate the day of love.

Get your ticket from Computicket at between R200 and R1 500 per person, and remember that the show will start at 7 in the evening.
