I am worried about who is going to be a striker for Bafana Bafana, because all the teams from the PSL use a striker from outside of South Africa. Naked

The participation of our clubs in African Club competitions drains them a lot. Look at Bidvest Wits, Platinum Stars and SuperSport United. My advice is that teams must have bigger, more reliable squads. Godfrey

This season’s Nedbank Cup seems to be there for the taking. With the big three winning this weekend, let’s hope they will pull through to the end. Big ups to all the winners so far. Aviwe

Orlando Pirates and my alternative club Kaizer Chiefs put smiles on the faces of their followers. We cannot be dominated by Pretoria clubs forever, the Ke Yona Cup belongs to Soweto this time around. Buti Nkonki

Luvuyo Memela should know what teamwork means. Being selfish where it is unnecessary is not going help him and Pirates. Football is about teamwork and not individuals. Papi

Bangaly Soumahoro has become a reliable centreback for Sundowns. He’s disciplined and makes sure strikers feel his presence. He has adapted well in the Downs set up. Ramasedi

Bernard Morrison silenced his doubters with a brilliant brace against Ajax. He had his best game so far in a Pirates shirt. He was the star of the show. Maile

Owen da Gama seems to be getting everything right, from defence to attack. Highlands Park are one of the best and most consistent teams in the NFD. Nwanedi

Ryan Moon is brilliant for Chiefs. He has shown glimpses of being a future star after scoring three goals in Chiefs’ recent games. Bombi

James Keene is a pest for defenders. He’s a workaholic and a big threat in the box. His ability to hold the ball is superb. He’s such a marvellous striker. Mokone

Benni McCarthy, yet again, criticised one of his players, Ayanda Patosi, after a poor performance. He must support his players rather than lambast them. Rati

“Resistance is defence/a defence in action. Why tricks do not collide/inside me, the spirit of resistance will never diminish...” It was as if Orlando Pirates were reciting the above offering by Mzwakhe Mbuli as they cruised to the last-16 of the Nedbank Cup. What sweet revenge. S’nkonkela

It is nice to see where Pirates are at the moment. The players are really making an effort, they must just stay focused. I’m hoping for better things to come. Frank Pienaar

Hard luck to Cape Town All-Stars, they made Mamelodi Sundowns sweat for their money. Better luck next time, Capetonians. Moshe Benni McCarthy has all the attributes to become a really good coach but his touchline antics and behaviour could be problematic in the future. Nyatseng Makuwa

Gavin Hunt’s teachings turned against him when Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City knocked his Bidvest Wits team out of the Nedbank Cup. Good riddance to the Clever Boys. Rudi G

This thing of buying teams’ status in South Africa is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Can’t the PSL do something about this, as it is killing our football? JD

Percy Tau has the class to excel abroad at a top club, He’s the best player in the league at the moment. Moshe Benni enjoys taking on his former mentor Gavin Hunt. As things stand, McCarthy has beaten Hunt four times this season in four matches. Moshe

Coaches/managers should be an example to their players and not be sent to sin bins during matches. Andrew

It is in only Mzansi that management tends to interfere with the coach’s duties. It is high time coaches form a union to help them, if the rumours are true about Teboho Moloi. Anon

I think releasing unhappy players is the correct decision for the team as unhappy players destabilise the team. I support Micho Sredojevic. Godfrey Ngubane
