Crawford yard has strong sprint hand

The Brett Crawford yard looks the one to be with tomorrow at Kenilworth as the yard steps out a couple of highly promising sprint types in races six and seven.

Politeness demands ladies first and the standout bet of the day comes up in the sixth race, a FM 68 Handicap. The four-year-old Australian-bred filly Marion Belle has been winning with plenty in hand, and was generously only pushed up three MR points by the handicapper for a very comfortable win at this same FM 68 level a month ago in her post-maiden outing.

She now goes over 1200m, but her style of racing suggests this will only be to her benefit, and the daughter of Snitzel can be confidently expected to complete the hattrick. A five star bet and exotic banker if ever there was one.

Then in the seventh race Sail From Seattle gelding Pacific Trader is obviously highly regarded by the yard.

He faces more threatening opposition than Marion Belle though, and chief among those looks to be fellow top weight Ready Steady Go.

Taking the Swinger with these two would seem a pretty safe bet, as they stand out in this field in terms of class. But if looking further all of Pata Pata, True Words and Pan Chan would have to be considered.

Apart from that the card looks rather tricky, so the advice would be to go short in these two legs in exotics and, put in as many as budget allows elsewhere.
