midfielder Robert Ng’ambi (right) has acknowledged that Platinum Stars are running out of time in their bid to avoid relegation from the Absa Premiership.

Roger de Sa’s Dikwena are five points adrift at the bottom and have 10 games left as they take on SuperSport United this evening at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

“We need to turn it around now. We don’t have time anymore. We need to fight and bring back the confidence we had. It’s up to us if we want to change things. It’s our jobs at stake,” said Ng’ambi.

“We have to look at ourselves as to what we have done for the team. We also have to look at what we can do to save the team. We need to put in more effort.

“As a senior player I need to bring my A game so I can help when we are struggling. The other guys also have to come to the party. We have to look back to what it was that we were doing right for the team that was winning cups and having us coming in second,” said Ng’ambi.

“As an attacking player, I have to ask how much effort I have put into my game. How many goals have I scored? In how many games have I created? So as an attacking player I should be more worried if I am not scoring. It means there’s something I am not doing right.”

SuperSport could also badly do with the win this evening, though Eric Tinkler’s men did relieve the pressure on themselves slightly with a 4-2 win at home to Bloemfontein Celtic in their last league match.
