A source close to Bidvest Wits player Paseka Sekese (above), who is on loan at Richards Bay FC in the National First Division, has said the player is keen to move back to Wits and feels he has gained much experience which can add a lot of value at his mother club. “He is more mature now and it shows. But he misses his old club and seeing the team struggle this season is really upsetting him. He feels like he needs to be there to help out. He is really keen on going back to Wits,” said the source. Sekese was one of the Clever Boys graduates back in 2015 before he was loaned to Cape Town All Stars in 2016 and then Richards Bay the following year.

Maritzburg United player Luyanda Ntshangase (above) is still in the intensive care unit after he and his team-mates were struck by lightning during a training session last week. “It was a huge situation that we faced and we had to cancel all our training sessions,” said coach Fadlu Davids. “I don’t know how they managed to keep their emotions intact considering what they had faced because one of our own is lying in the hospital,” he added on the back of his side’s 0-0 draw with SuperSport United.
