Take Super Fortune to ace Tannhauser

– Some of Singapore’s top sprinters will turn out for the feature race at Kranji tonight for the IRACE Classic.

This is a set-weight race of 1200m and is carded as Race 6.

WIMBLEDON, at 103, is the top-rated horse in the field and this six-yearold will be well in at the race conditions with just 56kg to carry courtesy of a 2kg claim.

While he battled late at his last start, his recent trial suggests he is ready to show his best.

James Peters - who trains Wimbledon - will also saddle SPANISH BAY and GRAND CROSS, with the latter coming off a strong win at Class 2 level and likely to have admirers on the night.

But most interest will be on the Michael Clement-trained TANNHAUSER who showed last start that the turf is not a problem when knocking in win number five from just his seventh start.

This four-year-old’s last start win was also in Class 2 company but, given the excitement levels he has generated since breaking his maiden status by some nine lengths, will probably start the short-priced favourite and is the horse to beat.

In saying that, SUPER FORTUNE's Singapore record of four wins, all on the turf, and three places probably shades TANNHAUSER given his last win was in KSA Company and will be the horse to run down late.

Best Bets: (MIGHTY EMPEROR Race 3, Win), (GOLD CITY Race 5, value) and (COULD BE PEARLS Race 7, value).

Jackpot R270: Race 5 (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12), Race 6 (4 and 5), Race 7 (1, 2 and 3), Race 8 (4, 5, 6, 8 and 13).
