Dear Doctor Since February last year I have been falling down. I have had five episodes since, the most recent one last week. When I fall down I can feel it coming before but I can’t control it since my right hand starts to shake and my mouth starts to mumble uncontrollably. I don’t know how long I am unconcious but when I wake up I continue doing my work as if nothing has happened. It happens when I’m doing hard work and I don’t wet myself during an episode. I feel it coming when I am tired. Is it epilepsy? I feel tired all the time, have pain in my heart and I frequently have the urge to urinate.

Good day

It definitely is some form of epilepsy that you are suffering from. Five episodes in such a short space of time means you need to take action urgently. Please visit your physician who will examine you and do an EEG for the definitive diagnosis so you can be treated.

Dear Doctor I get a rash every time I go into the sun. What causes this?

Good day

Some people do get eczema when exposed to heat or direct exposure to the sun. It just means you need to protect yourself more. Speak to your pharmacist who can recommend the right cream/ ointment to use for your tone and the strength of the rays. Do not go into the sun without such protection.

Dear Doctor I get acne on my chest and not on my face. How do I treat this?

Good day

First, you need it to be examined to be sure it is acne. Usually adopting a healthier lifestyle helps with such skin conditions. Cut down drastically on sugars, carbohydrates and bad fats. Drink lots of water. Visit your doctor to get the appropriate treatment as well.
