Playing for a coach who believes in him has helped Lehlohonolo Majoro (left) find his mojo again. The 31-year-old striker has been playing some good football since joining Bidvest Wits in January and was named yesterday as the Absa Premiership’s Player-of-theMonth for February, while his coach Gavin Hunt got the nod as Coach-of-the-Month.

Majoro said he had always heard about “the thing” Hunt has which gets the best out of players.

“I had always heard from players who have played under him that there is something special about him,” said Majoro. “I have experienced that because he has a way of tapping into you and unleashing the person you never thought was there. I am playing better than I was before and I am playing with a lot of confidence.

“I now look forward to each game. I don’t know what better way to reward a coach who believes in you and played you week in and week out than the way I have done. But this is only the beginning,” said Majoro.

He said having played for big clubs like Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates helped him adjust at Wits where there was a lot of pressure as the defending league champions were struggling at the bottom of the table.

“The experience of having played for big clubs taught me that wherever I go there will always be pressure. The most important thing is to manage the pressure because that makes you play better,” said Majoro.
