An in-form Real Betis travel to Girona in La Liga tonight with a Europa League spot in mind.

Betis’ current form sees them heading into this tie with four wins which have put them fifth with 49 points after 31 matches. Girona find themselves in eighth place, five points behind Betis.

To make matters worse for Girona, they come into this game following two heavy defeats in recent weeks, having lost 6-3 to Real Madrid and 5-0 to Real Sociedad.

But they have played well at home and in their last home game they beat Deportivo La Coruna 2-0.

This will be the second time in seven seasons that Betis and Girona face each other in top flight-football. Their first meeting ended in a 2-2 draw in November last year. The teams, however, have met six times before while they were still playing in the Segunda Division and Betis won five, while Girona have only beaten them once.

I foresee another draw tonight.
