Nigeria the first country in Africa to host global operation for Tek Experts. Lagos

Microsoft Nigeria is partnering with renowned global technology company Tek Experts to establish a customer service and support centre in Lagos.

The centre plans to reduce the unemployment rate in Nigeria, with Tek Experts training locals and leveraging their expertise to provide service to customers as it has done elsewhere around the world, Nigeria’s Vanguard reported yesterday.

Through such centres, the company has created more than 5 000 jobs and helped thousands to build long and rewarding careers in places like Costa Rica, the US, Malta, Bulgaria, China and Vietnam. Microsoft Nigeria general manager Akin Banuso said the country would be the first in Africa to host a global operation for the company. This would provide locals with a unique opportunity to realise their potential and pursue a world-class technical career locally, in addition to creating jobs.

Tek Experts founder Yaniv Natan said establishing the centre in Nigeria’s capital was the first phase of company plans to establish a long business relationship with the country. “We’re investing in state-of-the-art offices, in providing best-in-class training and in developing infrastructure that will provide exceptional services for our clients,” he said. – ANA
