Kids benefit most at Sandton cinema

-

The Ster-Kinekor cinema at Sandton City Mall has undergone renovations and it has opened with a bang.

The cinema complex is the second children’s cinema in South Africa since the launch of the first in June last year at East Rand Mall.

They both offer additional luxurious Cine Prestige 3D cinemas with their own VIP Lounge area and exclusive catering offers.

Ster-Kinekor Theatres chief executive Ryan Williams says: “Ster-Kinekor promises a wonderful new shopping experience, so it is only fitting that a state-ofthe-art cinema experience should form an integral part of the entertainment offering.

“We are very excited about the facelift entertainment offering that we believe will certainly contribute to an influx of customers to the mall complex.

“At Ster-Kinekor, we understand that people demand high quality entertainment, and a great night out at the movies is our response to satisfy this expectation.”

The new cinema layout has an express counter and 15 self-service terminals, where one can book tickets.

“Customers can select their catering options, pre-order and pay at the terminal, and then simply collect their order at the catering counter. The result is a streamlined cinema experience for customers,” he adds. “These are proving to be a success at the various sites where we have introduced this innovative technology.” – Citizen reporter
