Despite the significant loss of star Springbok lock Pieter-Steph du Toit, the Stormers are looking to impose themselves on the Lions in their Super Rugby derby at Newlands tomorrow, said coach Robbie Fleck.

Du Toit was withdrawn from the game due to illness and replaced by Jan de Klerk after suffering from heat exhaustion in the shock loss to the Sunwolves in Hong Kong last weekend.

“Our focus is to be as accurate as possible and execute our plans so that we are able to impose ourselves,” Fleck said.

“It is great to be back at Newlands this weekend for what should be another big game.”

Fleck has made four changes in total. Leftwing Raymond Rhule who was recalled after Seabelo Senatla rejoined the national Sevens squad.

Loose forward Sikhumbuzo Notshe (left) will play his 50th Super Rugby game and to mark the event he has returned to the starting line-up in the place of the experienced Nizaam Carr.

Having made his debut against the Reds in 2014, the 24-year-old Notshe will lead the team out at Newlands.

Notshe’s inclusion at No 8 is part of a new loose forward combination, with captain Siya Kolisi back in the starting team and Kobus van Dyk shifting to blindside flank, while Cobus Wiese and Carr will provide cover on the bench.

After a long battle following a burst appendix hooker Bongi Mbonambi has finally returned and will feature on the bench.
