PSL players were impressive for Zimbabwe in the Cosafa Cup. They outshone everyone. Our league is strong and this was witnessed during the tournament.

Congrats to Ria Ledwaba for being elected as the first woman vice-president. We need more women representation at football’s top structure.

Champions Sundowns have reinforced their already formidable side with the signing of Jali, but what do Chiefs do? Nothing as usual and they cannot even sign a player they have on pre-contract, Vincent Pule.

Monde Khumalo Zola

Collins Mbesuma’s scoring skills made a huge difference in Maccabi FC’s promotion to the NFD and to them winning R1 million from the ABC Motsepe Foundation.

Hlompho Kekana is very dedicated to his duties, he plays very good football. It’s unfortunate he didn’t win any PSL award in the last campaign.

Letladi

Congrats to Maccabi FC and TS Sporting for being promoted to the NFD League. Both teams deserve it after working hard in the ABC Motsepe League

We are impatiently looking forward to the World Cup. This looks to be one of those tournaments with many possibilities. We hope to enjoy every moment of it.

Congratulations to Bafana Bafana for redeeming themselves when they bounced back in the recent Cosafa Cup after they were beaten in their first game only to come back and win the Plate band finishing third. They really outdid themselves.

Rudi

Karabo Tshepe’s hunger, pace, vision and tricky skills are what make him a special and influential player. He’s going to do great things for Leopards in the Premiership next season.

Sjambo

The Boks’ victory over England was tremendous. Can it be that more become achievable in this fashion in South Africa?

Tete Montshi

The World Cup will be won by one of Brazil, Spain, Germany or England. Anyone besides these four will be recorded as an upset.

Chief Makuwa

The professionalisation of women’s football was long overdue, we’ve been waiting and longing for this to happen. I hope the Premiership clubs come to the party sooner or later. Thanks Safa for making your endeavours come into existence.

Mduduzi Mhlongo

The Absa Premiership needs 20 clubs, this is the trend around the globe. With that number we could have a club or two in the Premiership in each province around the country. Let’s remember that football creates both formal employment (players, agents and administrators) and informal employment – with fans selling regalia and hawkers selling snacks, food and soft drinks during matches.

Shadung Thamaga If Bafana Bafana can fail to reach the final of Cosafa Cup and lose to little Madagascar nogal, what chance will they have of reaching at least the last-16 at the Africa Cup of Nations?

Dibla

My favourite team, Chiefs, are confusing us followers about who is who in the zoo. Let’s swallow our pride and appoint Luc Eymael as coach and pay what is due to Free State Stars and stop dilly-dallying with six coaches. Bobby, respect the wishes of your supporters.

headlines read thus: “Same Old Story”. Stuart Baxter will find it easier to pronounce the president of Madagascar’s name (Rajaonarimampianina) than scoring goals against his team. Cosafa made it clear our team are not bigger than the other southern African teams. Baxter, you’d better return to Chiefs before Bafana fans push you out.

I personally believe our players in SA, whether at international or club level, are not proud of representing their country. Until that happens we will never achieve anything.

Tshepo Bohloko

I disagree with Tente M (Phakaathi, June 5). Pitso Mosimane will only be as good as the players make him, ask the departed Steve Komphela.

Frank Pienaar

Maritzburg’s Siphesihle Ndlovu is either a diver or a one-season wonder. Check when he is playing at Bafana, how many fouls he receives. Sundowns do not buy players who dive a lot.
