The South African Reserve Bank yesterday announced it will be launching a series of commemorative banknotes, in celebration of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday. The notes will cover all denominations, from R10 to R200, and the Mint will also get in on the action, by issuing a commemorative R5 coin.The notes and coins are expected to be formally released by July 18, and will all constitute legal tender.
