– A solid eight-race card awaits punters today at Kranji and while there look to be some interesting races early, the better races close the meeting and are well worth the wait.

In particular Race 7, the Kranji Stakes B over 1000m on the Polytrack, looks a beauty and while last start winner ELITE POWER

and the Polytrack specialist MOKASTAR win without surprising, it may be AUTUMN RUSH who is hardest to hold out.

This five-year-old has enjoyed the company of WH Simon Kok almost exclusively in 2018 and even gave the 4kg claimer his first win in the saddle in January.

Another win for the partnership in March has been backed up by some very good efforts in nice enough company to think he can win a race like this.

The last race is a Class 3 Polytrack sprint over 1200m that boasts no less than four last-start winners in RIVER GOLDEN, ARC TRIUMPH, STAR EMPIRE and HYDE PARK.

Of those, only RIVER GOLDEN won at this level but there was enough to like about both ARC TRIUMPH and STAR EMPIRE’s wins to think they will be more than competitive.

But it may be ANCIENT WARRIOR, resuming after a poor run, who is hardest to beat in what looks a very suitable affair with the booking of leading jockey, Vlad Duric, a pointer.

Best Bets: (OPTIMUM STAR Race 4, Win), (ANCIENT WARRIOR Race 8, Win) and (SAINT LINCOLN Race 6, value).

Jackpot: Race 5 (1, 2, 3 and 7), Race 6 (2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10), Race 7 (2, 5, 6, 8 and 9), Race 8 (1, 3 and 7).
