Danish club FC Copenhagen will look to get a good start in the first leg of the Europa League qualifier against Finnish side KuPS Kuopio FC at the Kuopio Stadium this evening.

The Danish side, however, haven’t been playing competitive football with their domestic league yet to start, while KuPS have been in action in the last couple of weeks. KuPS are fourth in the league after 19 games and have collected 29 points after eight wins, five draws and six losses.

But, Copenhagen remains favourites to win this tie looking at the background of Stale Solbakken’s charges and the history of the club. The Danish side finished fourth in the previous season and will certainly be looking to redeem themselves with some positive result in the Europa League.

Despite failing to win five of their last away Europa League, I foresee Copenhagen winning this tie with no struggle. Pool Name: S6 V2 P1 M1: Tampereen Ilves v Slavia Sofia. Home victory for Ilves.
