TAB odds on Tellytrack betting scroll

-

The agreement between Tellytrack and World Sports Betting (WSB), in terms of which WSB fixed odds on all South African races were shown in a betting scroll at the bottom of the Tellytrack picture, has run its course and in future only TAB odds will be displayed.

“Tellytrack is most grateful to World Sports Betting for their sponsorship of the betting scroll over the last three years,” said Rob Scott, head of marketing and media at Phumelela. “I wish WSB well with their other horseracing sponsorships and thank them for their ongoing support of the industry.”

Scott added that going forward the Tellytrack betting scroll would be used to highlight TAB payouts. “It’s essential to get more publicity for the tote and to that end the scroll will now display only TAB data.” Studio Blues.

In a sensational late plot twist Domeyer had picked up seven rides from Muzi Yeni at Fairview today, giving him a strong advantage over Greg Cheyne in the race for the final spot in the South African team to ride in the International Jockey’s Challenge at Singapore.

The official card changes give the reason Yeni has been stood down today as due to being “medically indisposed”.

Domeyer rode three winners at Kimberley on Monday, putting him on 135 as opposed to Cheyne’s 133 heading into the final day of the 2017/18 season.

Lyle Hewitson and Yeni have already sealed their places.

Until this bombshell announcement it seemed Cheyne had his fate in his own hands, with a full card of eight rides, all for Alan Greeff, while Domeyer had seemingly played all of his cards. – Precious Ramotswe for John Gosden.

He will then be hoping for a third Qatar Richmond Stakes victory in the last four seasons when riding the Richard Hannontrained Neverland Rock in the juvenile Group 2.

Coronation Stakes third Veracious is Dettori's Nassau ride and the filly will be facing some tough rivals, including Pretty Polly winner Urban Fox, who is bidding for a second consecutive Group 1 for William Haggas and is two from two under Danny Tudhope, who retains the mount having partnered her at the Curragh.

Surprise 1000 Guineas winner Billesdon Brook, Oaks and Ribblesdale runner-up Wild Illusion and Lockinge winner Rhododendron also line up, with Wilamina completing the field.

Dettori's final ride of the afternoon comes in the 1400m maiden in Frankel newcomer Mehdaayih for Gosden.
