Mngadi for Arrows

-

Golden Arrows are set to sign former Kaizer Chiefs and KS Eupen player Phakamani Mngadi. The 23-year-old is now a free agent after his contract at Belgian side Eupen ended and he did not renew. Mngadi spent one season at Amakhosi on loan in 2014 and is said to be keen on joining a local team. “He is training with Arrows and could be signed this week. He has done well and impressed coach Clinton (Larsen) who is looking for one more midfielder,” said a source. Maritzburg United are meanwhile now unlikely to sign former Baroka striker Robin Ngalande after landing former Mamelodi Sundowns star Yannick Zakri. Mphahlele ‘disrespects club’

Ramahlwe Mphahlele (above) was hammered by a former Mamelodi Sundowns team-mate who said they felt disrespected when the former Downs defender celebrated his goal against his former side. “The guy was captain at the club, so for him to go on and celebrate is not a good thing. He is no longer our own but in this game we need to show respect,” said a Sundowns player who asked not to be named. It was the second time that Mphahlele has scored against Downs. When he found the back of the net last season, he merely walked away, which was what was expected again on Saturday. Heric to lend a helping hand?

Newly promoted National First Division side Maccabi FC are said to be looking at bringing in veteran coach Vladislav Heric (above) to help and mentor Mokete Tsotetsi in his first season in the professional ranks. “The management have said they want to make sure the team do not get relegated because they have worked too long and hard to get promoted. Mokete will not be dismissed by the club but will rather be redeployed to the position of assistant so that he can learn from Heric who has plenty experience in the division and has earned promotion with three clubs already,” said a source. Zondo’s situation confusing

There is serious confusion over Ntwenhle Zondo’s (above) future after he was signed and loaned out by Chippa United who have now registered him with the Premier Soccer League (PSL), sources have claimed. Zondo was signed from NFD side Uthongathi FC in June but was loaned back in July. “Uthongathi are now confused because they were told Chippa want their player back and they could not register him. It is confusing but I heard the management have told the coach that he needs to use the youngster and not Tebogo Tlolane at leftback,” said a source.
