MASSIVE: SALE INCLUDES OFFICE FURNITURE, ENGINEERING AND MINING EQUIPMENT

-

The popular Germiston property is in high demand and there is considerable letting interest.

Park Village Auctions will soon bring to market a sizable 5.2-hectare Germiston-based industrial property along with heavy engineering equipment, vehicles, office furniture and equipment belonging to a prominent furnace and mining equipment fabricator now in business rescue.

That’s the word from PVA’s Jaco du Toit, who says that the upcoming auction is “not to be missed” and will appeal to stakeholders across the furnace and smelting, mining and materials handling, manufacturing, and power generation sectors.

Both the property and assets will be sold on Thursday, August 23 at 11am. All assets will be sold piecemeal by way of public auction at 30 Lamp Road on the corner Kreupelhout Street, Wadeville, Germiston.

Regarding the property to be auctioned, Du Toit explains that it is zoned industrial 1, measures just over five hectares and occupies an ideal position in the well-established industrial node to the east of Johannesburg.

It is easily accessible from the N17 and N3 highways via the Osborne Road and Heidelberg Road off-ramps respectively.

The property boasts two office buildings, large industrial workshops and warehouse structures with ancillary offices, and other improvements.

The main office building takes the form of a double storey comprising, on the ground floor, a reception and foyer, an executive boardroom with a bar, a staff kitchen, staff cloakrooms with a shower, a strong room, a climate-controlled server room, three open-plan offices and seven private offices.

A pedestrian staircase from the reception leads to the upper level which comprises a boardroom and sixteen private offices. The secondary office building is free-standing single storey structure composed of additional offices, a boardroom, a kitchen and cloakroom.

The manufacturing complex consists of six adjoining workshops which are combined to form a large open-plan manufacturing workshop area fitted with assorted swing and gantry cranes, offices, storerooms, staff toilets, a compressor room and a backup generator room.

A sandblasting spray booth, secondary warehouses, workshops, security offices, a large staff canteen, male and female ablution facilities, and ample parking space also feature on the property which, in total, measures approximately 21 000m2 under roof.

“Investment buyers can start yielding a profit from the property almost as soon as it has been bought. There is considerable letting interest,” says Du Toit.

Following immediately after the sale of the property, a large assortment of engineering equipment – milling machines, lathes and compressors – will go under the hammer.
