New property Bill discussed

Members of parliament continued engaging stakeholders in Boksburg yesterday on a new Bill which will regulate the property industry in South Africa.

The Property Practioner’s Bill is aimed at repealing the 1976 Estate Agency Affairs Board Act.

A statement said the Act did not assist government to regulate the buying, selling and renting of land and buildings, or accommodate the dynamic needs of the industry. – ANA
