Khune says some Chiefs players do not deserve to wear the team shirt. This is understandable. All his brave efforts were in vain. Bhungane
History between Pirates and Chiefs in league or cup games favours both sides because the former want to close the gap of defeat whereas the latter needs to widen the number of victories, but Bucs this time around have a slight edge because of more quality in abundance than their opponents. Mduduzi Mhlongo
I agree with Khune when he said they need a deeper look at themselves as players. My view is that the players are not
showing enough hunger on the field, and some are already asking for the coach to go – the players need to be accountable as well, they are not showing enough character on the field of play. Anon
Well done to Baroka FC. for continuing with their legacy of “giant-killing” when dismissing Wits 1-0 in the Telkom Cup. Modiri Moroka
What cheap marking from Kaizer Chiefs’ defence, really, it was a “Black Friday” give-away and the Patrice Motsepe foundation should organise another mass prayer for Amakhosi before the second-round league derby. Mduduzi Mhlongo
Thumbs-up to Desiree Ellis and her troops for making us proud by beating the Falcons, which is a feat that previous coaches had failed to achieve. Fan
Those who don’t attend games live are missing out. What an atmosphere from the Nigerian fans against Bafana. Also, AKA and the Naija Guy performed for us. Madida
I would like to send this message to the players in general: I think the Thandani Ntshumayelo incident for taking drugs touched many players and so stay away from bad influences, focus on your careers. This was a wake-up call, guys. Take care of yourself and remember there’s life after football. Irvin Setiba
The way Kaizer Chiefs defenders perform, it is like Orlando Pirates promising them huge rewards for the two losses. The coach had no hand in this pathetic display by the players. YM Chabalala
Congratulations to Baroka for reaching the Telkom Knockout final. Baroka deserve credit after knocking out the likes of Sundowns and Bidvest Wits. I wish them good luck and all the best for the final against Pirates. Irvin
Just a couple of weeks ago I spoke about players who are enticed with huge salaries to join Mamelodi Sundowns. Now it’s mentioned in this paper that the Botswana FA has entered the fray for Mogakuludi Ngele, who finds himself warming the bench. YM
The PSL should change their method of aligning cup tournaments with the league. After idling for two weeks during the Fifa break, clubs that are out of cup competitions continue to sit at home without action. This drought can go on for weeks and it destablises clubs and coaches’ plans. Reoli
Congrats to Baroka FC for reaching their first TKO final. They stand a good chance to lift the trophy, but Pirates are going to be an obstacle for them. Lephata
“We are no longer giant-killers, we are giants’’ – what better way for Baroka coach Wedson Nyirenda to put it after beating Wits en route to the final of the TKO. Thabiso
When Giovanni Solinas said at Kaizer Chiefs it is Khama Billiat and other players, he piled pressure on Billiat, hence the low performance from the others. Luvuyo
Elvis Chipezeze, the Baroka FC goalkeeper has performed miraculously in the TKO. He hasn’t conceded a goal as they won 2-0 against Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns and got a 1-0 victory against Bidvest Wits en route to the final. Well done Bakgaga!

My only question to Kaizer Motaung would be: “Are you not jealous of Sundowns’ achievements?” Chiefs used to be trendsetters. Now they are but mere spectators. Sundowns gain exposure by playing in Caf competitions, the Fifa Club World Cup and against the likes of Barcelona. Meanwhile Chiefs, so called “cup specialists” on the domestic front, are not winning anymore. I realised every time they (Chiefs) take players they come from Sundowns. Like it or not, Downs have set the bar. Ben
