Fury can upset the mighty Wilder

The G-Bets Gauteng Summer Cup runs this Saturday, 1 December, and the Pick 6 MEGAPOOL, which is expected to reach R7.5 million, is the play of the day. Also, be sure to punt on the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury fight when they face off at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California.

Unbeaten in 39 fights, Wilder has been priced up at 6-10 for the victory with Bettingworld and his opponent at 12-10.

The former has proven his naysayers wrong with each of his fight. He has impressively knocked out all but one of his rivals, defeating Bermane Stiverne by way of unanimous decision to steal the WBC heavyweight title in August 2016.

Since then he has looked elite, exceeding all expectations. In his last bout against Luis Ortiz, his determination was thoroughly impressive. He was behind on the judges’ scorecards and still found a way to win. He seems to be steadily improving his craft which is a positive for his fans.

Two questions need to be answered. Firstly, can Wilder find a way to land his devastating power shots and if he can, how well will Fury stand up to the power?

Against Wilder, he is not as skilled a tactician as his rival – hence the nickname “Windmill” Wilder – he tends to lose balance when throwing punches.

He may find it very hard to land on the taller, Fury, who is also surprisingly a lot quicker. He is a southpaw and we’ve seen Wilder struggle against southpaws.

Fury delivers exceptional counter-punches, jabs and body shots. He is not known for his knockout power but if Wilder gets careless, like he usually does, his rival will land a punch that could cause enough damage to drop him.

All Wilder needs is one good punch but Fury could well get back up after the knockdown. He suffer a serious knockdown at the hands of Steve Cunningham in 2013 and somehow he got back up and won the fight by way of Knockout!

Fury is actually yet to taste defeat in 27 fights, and considering he has won eight of those by decision, his record suggests that if they head to the judges, he may disappoint the market leader.
