Teach our kids not to litter, please

A stone’s throw down the road from our residence is a primary/ junior school catering to the educational needs of many children.

Unfortunately, it seems, the curriculum does not include the lesson of non-littering. Every day after final bell the kids buy sweets from street vendors and leave a Pied Piper trail of discarded wrappers in their wake, waiting for some other sucker to clean up.

Come on, teachers (and parents), let’s teach our tykes to toss the trash into the appropriate bins.

Today’s sweet wrapper cleaners, tomorrow’s anti-litter campaigners.
