Swiss Untersee sets his sights on Bafana

South Africa-born defender Joel Untersee (right) missed the Zurich derby through illness this weekend, as his side FC Zurich earned a 3-1 win over Grasshoppers in the Swiss Super League. Untersee holds Swiss nationality, but he wants to play for Bafana Bafana. The 25-year-old defender joined FC Zurich on loan from Italian Serie A side Empoli in the January transfer window, and made his debut last Wednesday in a 3-1 loss at St Gallen. It remains to be seen if Untersee will be back in the side for Thursday night’s Europa League last-32 clash with Napoli.
