Changing players’ positions is detrimental for our teams and the national team. This is one thing coach Pitso Mosimane likes doing. He signed the likes of Lyle Lakay, Thapelo Morena and Asavela Mbekile to name a few as wingers and central midfielders, only to change them into defenders. Looking at how our Under-20 team in their recent Africa Cup of Nations and Kaizer Chiefs players against Magic FC missed scoring opportunities, one can conclude that if we are to change players’ positions, it has to be defenders to strikers.
