What a day to bet on soccer!

TAB soccer fans are in for an exhilarating Saturday with the hype of carryover-boosted Soccer 10 and Soccer Any 15 pools mixed with the likelihood of more PSL coaches getting the sack if their teams don’t deliver.

With four PSL and eight English Premier League clashes, there’s great soccer to bet on tomorrow and mega carryovers to two TAB soccer pools are adding to the excitement of what will be a scintillating soccer weekend.

Tomorrow’s main Soccer 10 pool (S10 V3) kicks off with a R500,000 carryover and features a challenging combination of PSL and EPL matches. The total pool should soar past the R3million mark.

And TAB’s exciting new bet, Soccer Any 15, should also generate a mega pool as a result of a carryover of more than R700,000.

Four clubs in the Premier Soccer League are still to win a match this season and given how much coaching blood has been spilt in recent weeks, there will be much trepidation coming into this weekend’s round of games.

Two yet-to-win outfits play tonight, when Maritzburg United host Chippa United in the KZN Midlands.

Chippa have already fired coach Clinton Larsen and play a second game under caretaker Duran Francis while they search for a replacement.

Maritzburg’s boss Eric Tinkler was this week given an ominous “vote of confidence” from his chairman.

Admittedly, they have been a little unlucky in five games played to date, but with 12 new players added to their squad in the off-season were not expecting to find themselves back in the relegation doldrums so soon after just escaping the drop last season.

Newly promoted Stellenbosch FC, having scored only twice, are away at Lamontville Golden Arrows tomorrow afternoon as they also look for a first win.

It will be a tough ask against a fast-running and skillful Arrows side, who are also very fit and play a suffocating, pressing game.

Speculation started in the media this week about the future of Stellenbosch’s coach Steve Barker.

To be fair, he does not have much quality in his squad and Stellenbosch were always going to battle in their first season up among the big boys.

AmaZulu are the club at the bottom of the standings and the other side without a win. They lost 2-0 to Kaizer Chiefs at home in midweek in a poor debut for new coach Jozef Vukusic, who has taken over from Cavin Johnson.

AmaZulu are away at in-form SuperSport United tomorrow night when things are unlikely to get any better for them.

At the other end of the table, Kaizer Chiefs can stay top if they beat Baroka FC, but remember they have battled against the Limpopo side over the years.

Co-leaders Polokwane City remain an enigma as they face Highlands Park away on Sunday. The two clubs drew their two MTN8 semi-finals with Highlands going through on penalties. Great action to bet on! To take a bet, go to www.bettingworld.co.za or www.tabonline.co.za or www.soccer6.co.za
