sister Robyn, took the second place, followed by Barnard. Johann Smith (SPS Mazda Capella) won the first race for Universal Health pre1980 saloons, chased to the flag by Jannie van Rooyen (VW Scirocco) and Alan Green (Ford Escort).

Van Rooyen charged back to win race two, marginally ahead of Smith, with Johan Barnard (Industrial and Mining Ford Capri) taking the final podium place.

Racing with the tin-tops, Richard de Roos (Porsche RSR) won the pre-1990 sports car category from Fred Konig (Porsche RSR) and Stefan Puschavez (MI Equipment Porsche RSR).

Despite fighting a huge engine misfire, De Roos won race two as well, again followed by Konig and Puschavez.

Keagan Pottas won both races for Motul Clubmans cars in his incredibly rapid turbocharg­ed AIPM Honda CRX.

On the first occasion he was followed by Dirk Lawrence (JDM Tuning Honda Ballade) and Louis Cloete (AMS Tuning VW Beetle). The next time around, Cloete finished second, ahead of Wayne Crous (Ancro Building VW Polo).

Brendon Parker (Blitz Motor Datsun GX Coupe), Deon van Vuuren (Hoosier Mazda R100) and Rene van Rensburg (SV Tech Ford Escort) took the first three places in both Midvaal historic races.

Both the Monoposto races went to John Maurien (Lifestyle Ray GTI), ahead of Damien Archer (Advanced Wound Care Ray) and Hylton Morrow (Chaplins Eye Suzuki).

Gerhard Roux (Rubro Building Inex) won the first two Liqui Moly Inex Legend races, with Charl Roux (Rubro Building Legend) and Willie Erasmus (Mom and Dad Legend) swapping the respective second and third places.

The final race also went to Gerhard Roux, followed by Charl Roux and Ian Upton (RU Legend).

Rounding out the programme were two handicap races for Charlies Superspar Pursuit Challenge cars.

The first heat went to Werner Hartzenber­g (Porsche 928S), ahead of Kola de Klerk (Nissan 300ZX) and Sean Hepburn (Datsun).

Sean Hepburn (Datsun 1200 GX) took race two from Denis McBeath (Mpiti Sport) and Riaan Roux (Addfin VW Scirocco).

The final round of the 2019 Inland Regional series will take place at Red Star on November 16.
