Thrilling BMW racing heads for Kyalami
Highlights of the weekend’s annual BMW M Festival at Kyalami will be two rounds of the 2019 Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Heading a 40-strong field will be Class A contenders like Paulo Loureiro (Combined BMW 335i), Stefano Martinelli (Dalucon
BMW 328i Turbo) Rick Loureiro (Combined BMW 335i), Adrian Dalton (Xtra Clothing BMW M3 CSL), Carlo Garbini (Kimbo Coffee BMW 330 Turbo), Jason Campos (Turn 1 BMW M3 GT), David Coetzee (Elksa BMW M3 Turbo), Sav Gualtieri (SavSpeed BMW 335i), Lorenzo Gualtieri (Vari/ Power BMW M3 Turbo) and Elwyn Steenkamp (Jays Consultants BMW M3).
Class B will be headed by Andreas Meier (Trained Amateurs BMW Satcar), Jan Eversteyn (Bavaria 0.0% BMW M3), Mike Grobler (BMW M5) Craig Ball (Rock Solid BMW M3), Oz Biagioni (Bio Pool BMW M3), Paul Munro (BMW M3) and Dino Familiaris (BMW M3 Turbo).
In Class C, Nek Makris (BMW 328i Turbo) will face off against Renier Smith (Trained Professional
BMW M3), Shane Grobler (Mayfair Gearbox BMW 330i), Troy Cochran (Arrow Automotive BMW M3), Pieter Lombard (SMS Alert BMW M3 GTS), Neil Reynolds (Valve Hospital BMW M3) and Jimmy Tsimenoglou (Big Boss Auto BMW M3).
Alan Hilligen (C3 Shared Services BMW 328i) has a healthy lead in Class C, chased by Klippies Krigge (BMW M3), Matthew Wadeley (P&G Digita BMW M3), Bernard de Gouveia (de Gouveia
Accountants BMW 328i), Rob Gearing (Diebels Alt BMW 325is) and Vanish Ganpath (Prodigy 325 ci).
In Class E, Nicholas van Zyl (Mike’s Auto Tune BMW 130i) should be the man to beat, challenged by William Einkamerer (BMW 335i), Nicholas Fisher (BMW 328i), while Rupert Giessing and Colin van Son will pilot the Bridgestone BMW 325i Touring Club car, likely doing one race apiece.
