Win big with Rugby 5 Bonanza

-

TAB is again this weekend offering rugby pundits the opportunity to bet on their favourite sport. There are two Rugby 5 pools today, two pools tomorrow and one on Sunday. Here are some tips to help you make informed decisions about some of the lesser known teams.

Match 1: England vs South Africa England should have and could have beaten the All Blacks by a much bigger margin than 19-7. That spells trouble for the Springboks.

However, in Rassie Erasmus the Boks have a coach that should hold his own against Eddie Jones.

Bookmakers have priced up England as favourites to win the World Cup, and if they can reproduce the form they displayed against the All Blacks, they should lift the cup. They have obviously peaked at the right time while South Africa have looked sloppy at times.

Match 2: Newcastle Falcons vs Jersey Reds The log points to a victory for the Falcons - even by 13 or more.

Both teams are unbeaten. Newcastle have a good pedigree and they believe they are too big for the second tier of English rugby.

Jersey have hit the ground running but travel to a hostile place.

Match 3: Scarlets vs Cheetahs The Cheetahs suffered defeat for the first time this campaign last weekend when they left Bloemfontein for the first time.

They snatched a proverbial defeat from the jaws of victory but should bounce back.

Scarlets aren't a bad side. They always display a never-say-die attitude.

This one should be close, and discipline could be a key factor.

Match 4: LB Ealing vs Coventry Again, not much separate these two sides on the log, in form and in style. Ealing have home ground advantage. Expect this match to be tight with a few points between them at the end.

Match 5: Ospreys vs Connacht Ospreys did not have a good start to the season, losing three of their opening four games.

Connacht, on the other hand, is in a strong position with three wins from four outings.

Ospreys mix the good with the bad so they are not to be written off, but they will need to have a glorious day to beat a side in good form in Ireland.
