Let’s Twist again at Scottsville

Twist Of Fate has his pipe-opener in KwaZulu-Natal today in a Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m at Scottsville and looks to be in a different division to most of his opponents.

This son of Master Of My Fate has taken on, and held his own, against the best in the land. He was first trained by Joey Ramsden and when he gave up, Twist Of Fate moved to Adam Marcus. He has yet to win for his new trainer but in his three runs under Marcus Twist Of Fate ran a five-length third behind Hawwaam in the Grade 2 Premier’s Trophy over 1800m, a 2.05-length fourth behind Vardy in the Grade 1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate over 1600m and a 3.90-length fourth behind One World in the Grade 1 Sun Met.

He meets nothing of that ability in Race 7 today and has to be the standout bet on the card. He has a massive weight advantage because on handicapping, he is at least 5.5kg better off with any other runner. He is well drawn at No 5 and Adam has engaged “Uncle Anton” to ride the four-year-old colt.
