Chance to see Cardi B off again

Castle Lite announced today that it has had to call off Castle Lite Unlocks 2021 because of the ongoing struggle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

This was the much anticipated concert with rapper Cardi B, pictured, as the main headliner.

With the nation currently in the grip of a second wave of the pandemic, the South African government has imposed stricter sanctions so public gatherings of any size are not permitted. The brand, therefore, felt it was in the best interest of all parties concerned to call off Castle Lite Unlocks 2021 to preserve the health and safety of artists, staff and the public.

Last year, the brand made the decision to postpone the experience from its annual June date to the end of the year in the hope that we would be in a better place in our fight against the virus. However, as the situation has worsened now with the second wave, Castle Lite believes that it would be gravely irresponsible to move forward with the experience.

“The health and safety of our consumers is our first priority and it is out of great care for them that we have come to this decision.

“We also understand that the biggest attraction for Castle Lite Unlocks each year remains the international headliners and we assure all consumers that once things get better and restrictions have been lifted, we will communicate a way forward,” said Castle Lite brand director Silke Bucker.

All ticket holders are entitled to a full refund and TicketPro will be processing refunds. Refunds will be processed automatically for those who bought tickets via credit card and Ozow. Those who made purchases by EFT or in-store must send banking information and transaction reference number to
