Wow, I see some of our fellow contributo­rs are suffering from severe Trump derangemen­t syndrome. The fact of the matter is Trump is not responsibl­e for the US’ woes and there is nothing shameful about supporting him. If anything, it shows people can think for themselves.

Regarding the surge in crimes recently (hijacking, shootings, robberies, murders, drug dealings, etc). Thirty years ago you never heard of this as an everyday thing. SA is going down the gutter. So is Africa.

Zuma is exposing himself. He never cared for the people of this country. He was just there to enrich himself and his family. For Zuma to be out of prison is a mystery. When is he going to be arrested ? The evidence of him enabling looting of SA is overwhelmi­ng.

The euphoria in SA over old Joe’s victory to become the president of the USA is unbelievab­le. Do they think he will have time to even think of South Africa? His major task will be to try and unite the most divided country an incoming president has ever inherited.

On the point off rolling out the vaccine to 40 million people in South Africa, does this include all the foreigners living here? Must they go back to their own countries, or what? I would like to see what will happen.

As a taxpayer, I’d rather have the 2 122 soldiers patrolling the leaky border than the beaches. But maybe that just requires a little too much effort.
