Go with Swingers at Vaal

- Jack Milner

Swingers and Exactas could be the way to go at the Vaal tomorrow because many of the races appear to be two-horse affairs. Racing is on the Classic track.

In Races 3, 6 and 7 it could be worth going that way. The Swingers won’t pay much but you should at least find yourself in the payout queue.

Race 3 looks a contest between Irish Willow and Blue Spark and Exactas could be preferred. However, with Swingers you always have the safety net should one of them finish third.

In Race 6 Godswood and Valyrian King look a notch or two better than their opposition so they are the pair to go with. There is a line through Ice Eater which indicates there is very little to choose between the pair.

Race 7 looks even more interesting because of the scratchings of Marygold and Showdown Kid.

That leaves just five runners and as a result there is only one Swinger – first and second in any order.

Wisteria Walk and Gallic Princess standout in this Pinnacle Stakes for fillies and mares over 1500m and the Swinger looks a great bet.

If you are looking for a banker, Wolffs World could be the answer. Paul Peter’s charge runs in Race 4, a MR 78 Handicap over 1600m. He has improved as a gelding, having won his first run back after the that and then followed up with two close seconds.

Two runs back he was touched off on the post by Banha Bridge but the winner went on to win his next start, so the form has been franked.

Gavin Lerena is back from Cape Town and he takes the ride.

The scratching of August Rain will add to his chances.
