Musos help put tourism on map

- Citizen reporter

Anyone who has been away from home will probably come to appreciate just how much their hometown has to offer.

That’s a feeling award-winning KwaZulu-Natal-based musician Kyle Deutsch and singer Aewon Wolf, pictured, are familiar with.

These home-grown talents are still based in Durban, but it was easy to see their love of KZN and their eagerness to share the delights of their home with the rest of the world.

It was no surprise that they were approached by Tourism KwaZulu-Natal’s digital agency, iNCO Creative, to shoot a video that really showcases KZN and all it has to offer. It was bound to be an extraordinary project that hit home for the both of them.

What followed was picturesque adventure.

Shooting took place over eight days, covering more than 2 500km, from KZN’s South Coast, through the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, down to the Midlands and on to the enthralling battlefields and reserves before passing through the North Coast en route back to Durban.

The footage throughout the trip was shot largely “off the shoulder” and spur of the moment, capturing Deutsch and Wolf’s experiences and the locals that made each of the locations stand out.

Along the journey, Deutsch and Wolf met up with Stacey Norman and J’Sbu, from East Coast Radio, who brought their own energy to the video in a cameo appearance.

Deutsch and Wolfwrote and produced the title track, We Have it All.

Hot off the back of Wolf’s latest release Say it Louder, featuring Rey Oceans, and Deutsch’s recent hit single Home, We Have it All encapsulates KZN.

The music video will drop on Wednesday, 3 March on YouTube.
