Liquor licence scam warning
The Western Cape Liquor Authority (WCLA) has warned about a liquor licence scam in the province.
The WCLA received numerous telephone calls from liquor licence holders inquiring about a text message requesting a R250 administration fee, George Herald reported.
The SMS said that in order to avoid penalties or suspension of their liquor license, they should pay the money before September 1. But the SMS does not come from WCLA. – Caxton News Service
