Awide selection of specialised machinery and assorted assets will come under the hammer on Wednesday, when Asset Auctions hold a liquidation auction of lots from a plastic extruding, printing and bagging plant business in Alberton.

Chief among the assets are the printers and extruders, with key brands from this industry ruling the roost.

These include Windmoller & Holscher, Pelican and Mirage to name but a few.

In the bagging category, top brands also testify to the standard of machining prowess on offer, with brands like Arvor, Limax, Hemingstone and Elba sure to get the nod from buyers.

Adding to the volume of the assets available is a good variety of vehicles that must also be sold urgently.

These include a 2004 Merc Atego 1317 rigid curtain side eight-ton truck, a 2010 Ford Bantam, a 2005 Diahatsu Delta four-ton truck, 2012 Mahindra Bolero drop-side, and a Mahindra Genio.

“These machines are highly sought-after in their industries,” says Asset’s principal auctioneer, Dean Baldwin.

“Bought new, it costs a fair deal more than they are expected to fetch at auction. But we are expecting a good turnout for this disposal and encourage people to contact us in advance.”

The auction on Wednesday will be held at 3 Jurie Street in Alrode and Baldwin will start at 10.30am.
