New boss shows Casillas the door

– New Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui has left former captain and all-time record capped Iker Casillas out of his first squad since taking charge of the national team.

Former Spain Under-21 and Under-19 coach Lopetegui also omitted Pedro and Cesc Fabregas from the squad for Spain’s friendly match against Belgium on September 1 and their first World Cup qualifier against Liechtenstein four days later. – AFP
