Fraser appointed as new spy boss

The ministry of state security has announced the appointmen­t of Arthur Fraser as new director-general and accounting officer of the State Security Agency with effect from yesterday.

The appointmen­t was made by President Jacob Zuma, in terms of the constituti­on and relevant legislatio­n.

Fraser has served in operations in the former National Intelligen­ce Agency, and also served as a deputy director-general in the department of home affairs responsibl­e for immigratio­n services, the ministry said. – Citizen reporter
