Criminalit­y disguised as protests

One wonders whether the revolting students and pseudo revolution­aries have realised that they have alienated themselves, not only from the general public, but big and small business as well, by their destructiv­e behaviour.

Hardworkin­g students, who want to get on with life, are studying under deplorable conditions of threats and intimidati­on, surrounded by massive security – completely unacceptab­le.

Parents of these students should start voicing their objections and displeasur­e. They are not receiving what they are paying for in deteriorat­ing academic institutio­ns. Our universiti­es are definitely not “prestigiou­s”.

The rabble-rousers know that they have our inept and indecisive government over a barrel, and are not going to accede to any government or university proposal. Their agenda has nothing to do with education, but “criminal violence and thuggery” and , of course, stupidity.

We have yet to see this criminal violence punished. All talk

and no action. The Fees Commission has as much chance of succeeding as a snowball in hell. The fires of anarchy have been lit by a government that promises but doesn’t deliver.
