Look to Starboard at Lingfield

- MAKE MAGIC WITH MORRICE

London – Serena Brotherton is arguably the best in her field and it will be no watching brief if you support her mount STARBOARD in the Betway Lady Riders' Handicap at Lingfield.

Brotherton has a background steeped in history as her late grandmother, Lurline, owned Grand National winner Freebooter.

Her colours were carried by a flurry of good horses trained by Mick Easterby.

North Yorkshire-based Serena Brotherton is a solicitor outside her away-days on the racecourse, and her long journey South today can go rewarded.

The much travelled Starboard finished second in a recent visit to Chelmsford and holds much appeal in what is a weak-looking contest. Although visits to Meydan are now a thing of the past with the David Simcock-trained eight-year-old, he can show in this 2000m contest he still has something to offer.

SUTTER COUNTY gets the best bet vote and will be hard to beat in the 32Red.com Conditions Stakes. Mark Johnston's colt, a son of leading sire Invincible Spirit, was a precocious juvenile and is revved up for this sprint following a narrow defeat on his seasonal return at Kempton.

With his sprinters in particularly good order we should get a good run out of Dean Ivory's ELJADDAAF in the Bet totetrifecta At Betfred.com Handicap at Chelmsford City.
