Kyalami set for a busy 2017
VARIETY: CIRCUIT WILL HOST THREE MOTORSPORT EVENTS AND VARIOUS LIFESTYLE EVENTS
International food and music festival will be held from September 30.
The Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit last week announced that it will this year host three motorsport events, plus various lifestyle events.
The first race meeting will be on April 22 and 23.
The Motorsport Festival will incorporate the Extreme Festival, featuring a variety of premier national and regional four-wheeled categories.
The Festival will return on November 4 and 5.
To end the year, Kyalami will host the return of historic motorsport with the Classic Car and Historic Racing Festival on December 1 and 2. Fans can also look forward to a variety of lifestyle events at Kyalami this year: The South Africa Bike Festival, powered by Discovery Channel, will return from May 26 to 28.
Visitors can look forward to the Kyalami debut of South Africa’s top 1 000cc Superbike racers in two rounds of the 2017 SuperGP Championship on the Saturday and Sunday.
Experts fully expect one of the Superbike riders to break the circuit’s current overall lap record during one of the races.
The journey that began with the successful staging of the 2016 SA Festival of Motoring will con- tinue in 2017 under the banner of the SA Motoring Experience.
The event will take place from September 1 to 3 and will provide for on-track experiences with increased test drive opportunities on the circuit.
The national motor show will incorporate the Johannesburg Boat and Water Show, adding to the variety of exhibitors.
The DStv Nedbank Delicious International Food & Music Festival will return to Kyalami from September 30 to October 1.
Festival organisers are promising visitors mouth-watering finds in food, street-chefs and delectable trends, as well as a world-class music line-up.
This festival is the biggest of its kind in South Africa.
