The month of love is by no means over as it still has so much to offer – another thrilling auction at Old Johannesburg Warehouse Auctioneers this weekend, February 25 and 26, will have you wanting to spoil yourself or someone else with all the wonderful items on offer.

Pilkin Art Nouveau double handled silver vase to name a few), incredible ceramics and glass (Lalique, Royal Albert, Clarice Cliff, Royal Doulton, Copeland Spode and beautiful Oriental pieces) amazing collectables and glorious pieces of furniture.

An exquisite Edwardian Walker & Hall crocodile leather Officer’s travelling trunk fitted with all items, an upright 1955 Steinway & Sons piano and a rare collection of railway memorabilia are some of the fascinating items filling the day. Coins on auction have always piqued interest but this time round coin collectors are sure to turn up in droves – for the first time ever a dedicated mint condition coin section starts at 11:30am on Saturday, February 25 with a separate catalogue.

Within the 200 lot sale thousands of coins are on offer, made up of individual coins and large job lots. The main body of the session is from the private collection of Mrs M.S.A. Steyn, a well-known and well respected numismatist.

At 1pm on the same day, the art session commences – over 100 lots of traditional and contemporary South African and International art by the likes of Boshoff, Brigg, de Beer, During, Feni, Ngatane, Pierneef, Schimmel, Sibiya, Smit, and Tugwell to name a few and will have die-hard collectors and beginners alike excited to add to their collections.

The auction continues straight after with more wondrous furniture and collectable items that will add flair to any home.
