‘Illegal distiller’ arrested in KZN

A 42-year-old man was arrested this week for allegedly producing illegal alcohol in his backyard in Chatsworth, Durban.

Provincial tactical response team officers received a tip-off and searched the property, where they discovered a clandestine distillery in an outhouse. An assortment of spirits, brandies and whiskeys were discovered. The estimated value of the alcohol was R65 000. – CNS
