Arsenal should have too many guns

-

The featured Soccer 6 pool this Saturday is a mixed bag of fixtures from different parts of Europe with the obvious banker (Arsene Wenger’s detractors might disagree) in M1, in which Arsenal take on fifth-tier Lincoln City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

A 10-men Arsenal were humbled at the Emirates midweek by Bayern Munich to be eliminated 2-10 on aggregate over the two legs of the Champions League round of 16.

Their semi-professional opponents Lincoln have done the unthinkable by reaching this stage of the competition and beat Burnley away at Turf Moor, something that not many English Premiership teams have been able to do this season.

So should we expect what would probably be the biggest upset in the modern era of the famous cup? I think there is more chance of Wenger signing a new contract at Arsenal and the odds of that not happening are much shorter than the 1-20 the bookies are offering on an Arsenal win.

M1 Arsenal v Lincoln City: Previewed above.

M2 Malaga v Deportivo Alaves: Malaga have only won once in their last 15 league and cup games, but their opponents have not done well away from home.

M3 Chaves v Sporting Braga: Chaves have only been beaten once at home all season. Braga, in fourth spot in the standings, are four places and 10 points ahead of their opponents and are definitely a far better team at home. Go wide.

M4 Genoa v Sampdoria: With four wins and two draws in their last six league outings, Sampdoria seem the obvious selection, but Genoa are capable of an upset.

M5 Granada CF v Atletico Madrid: Third- bottom Granada have won their last three home games, but against opponents in the bottom half of the table. Atletico should be too classy.

M6 Tondela v Sporting CP: This seems an obvious pick with thirdplaced Sporting up against the bottom team. However, Tondela have created some upsets on their home turf.

Suggested R216 perm for the Soccer 6 pool tomorrow 11 March S6 V2 P1 is: M1 = 1; M2 = 1, 2, 3; M3 = 1, 2, 3; M4 = 2, 3; M5 = 3; M6 = 2, 3.

The featured Soccer 10 Pool is also tomorrow and only the Arsenal game in the Soccer 6 is in the Soccer 10. Additional bankers are Everton at home in M5 to beat West Bromwich, Leeds United in M7 to overcome visiting Queens Park Rangers and in M8 Newcastle United to end Fulham’s six- match unbeaten streak in the league.

Suggested R432 perm for the Soccer 10 pool on Saturday S10 V2 is: M1 = 1, 2, 3; M2 = 2, 3; M3 = 1, 2, 3; M4 = 1, 2; M5 = 1; M6 = 1, 2, 3; M7 = 1; M8 = 1; M9 = 1, 2; M10 = 1.
