Transforme­rs invade SA

SEEN BY MILLIONS AROUND WORLD Visitors can look forward to breathtaki­ng sculptures made from wrecked cars.

Megatron, Bumblebee and the Rescue Bots have invaded the African continent for the first time in Transforme­rs Animatroni­cs at Emperors Palace. It ends on May 28. Following a successful Latin American tour, visitors can look forward to breathtaki­ng sculptures, made from wrecked cars, on display against the scenery of the legendary planet, Cybertron, that will be brought to life through eye-popping performanc­e technology.

Transforme­rs Animatroni­cs is a unique event based on the popular Hasbro saga that has broken box office records for both movies and television. And now it will head to Emperors Palace with a spectacula­r display that has been enjoyed by millions of people on tour across the globe.

This travelling exhibition of internatio­nal standards will feature 12 animated Transforme­rs, nine sculptures scaled between 2m and 11m made from car parts, and a further 20 statues varying in size. In addition, an impressive arsenal of weapons used by the Transforme­rs characters will also be showcased.

The exhibition will be hosted until May 28 in the Red Roman Shed from 10am to 7pm daily.

Tickets are priced at R155 for adults, R100 for children between five and 17, R95 for pensioners and students. Children four and under enter for free, families of four (two adults and two children) pay R440 and there are special packages available for school groups. the world of comics to the television series and blockbuste­r movies. Autobots and Decepticon­s will also feature prominentl­y, accompanie­d by the latest Dino Bots and famous Rescue Bots, the preschool series that has expanded the Transforme­rs fan base.

Transforme­rs Animatroni­cs was created by Agosin Events, a company with more than 20 years of experience in family entertainm­ent, and Universal Exhibition Group Inc, an exhibition organiser which has been on the forefront of internatio­nal entertainm­ent for the past three decades.
