Perpetual Joyance looks best

– The Korea Racing Authority Trophy is the feature race on the eight race Happy Valley card and it is pretty hard to fault the recent form of John Size’s Perpetual Joyance when searching for the potential winner.

The son of Red Giant has won three of his last four starts, including his last outing which was his first attempt over the course and distance. On that occasion, he drew the same barrier and from gate one he should enjoy the run of the race. He remains quite well treated for his last success with the five-point penalty and will get every opportunity to keep the run of recent form going.

Joao Moreira sticks with Wonderful Fighter for this outing and his recent form at the city course has been rather faultless. He too should enjoy a good run for the barrier and if the pace is fast as expected, he should get his chance to figure in the finish again.

The wide barrier has dealt a blow to the chances of Beauty Kingdom who has to overcome gate No 10. He has been to Happy Valley on twelve occasions and is yet to notch a win but has generally performed well and if they go a bit quick up front, then he should be working home.

In Race 5 Zac Purton teams up with Richard Gibson with Ambitious Pins who looks ready to notch his first win in Hong Kong. On his first attempt in this grade they snagged him back from the gate over the Sha Tin mile and he reeled off a terrific closing section.

Hopefully, this time from a favourable draw he can take much closer order and against some rather moderate opposition he should prove hard to beat.
