Vroom expected to sparkle in turf debut

- MAKE MAGIC WITH MORRICE

London – VROOM tries turf for the first time since his debut and can convert his smart all-weather form to the former surface at Yarmouth today.

Since his October 2015 introduction Gay Kelleway’s gelding has put in 17 consecutive runs on either Fibresand, Polytrack or Tapeta. And interestingly his last nine outings have happened on the Southwell Fibresand, where he is a three-time winner.

A model of consistency, he met a bang in form foe in Treaty Of Rome at that venue last time and made a good fist of ending that gelding’s winning sequence. Kelleway experiments with the four-year-old in the Follow Us On Facebook At Yarmouth Racecourse Handicap and under apprentice Rhiain Ingram can deliver at the main expense of Song Of Shadows.

WHISPERED KISS takes my eye in the BBC Radio Norfolk Handicap in which Mike Murphy’s charge drops considerably down the distance ladder.

It was over 1800m that Jamie Spencer’s mount went down in a tight finish at Wolverhampton where he was nailed in the final stride. Now back to 1400m, he’s an in form horse who should be hard to beat in spite of shouldering joint top weight.

At a shorter price CARTOGRAPHER appeals as the best bet on the card in the Holidays On The Norfolk Broads Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Martyn Meade’s filly showed abundant promise to place second on her Kempton debut last November, form which if even repeated gives her a favourite’s chance.
